Fazenda da Esperança is a Catholic community that is taking care of young drug and alcohol addicts, trying to show them a new way of life by living each day according to the gospel.
Rehabilitation at Fazenda da Esperança is very simple. It is based on three basic points:
• Spiritual Life: Everyday we pray together and meditate on the gospel to allow God to change our lives through his words.
• Community Life: We stay together in small groups of around fourteen (14), trying to live like a family, and regularly sharing our experiences with each other.
• Work: We work together in different sections of our farm because we do not want to depend on others for financial help, but to earn our own living.
