Pontifical Approval

On June 24, 2010, “Family of Hope”, the community running the Fazenda centers around the world, received the approval of its statues from the Pontifical Council of Laity. For this historic occasion, some 300 Fazenda people from all over the world gathered in Rome, to meet with the Holy Father.

After the meeting with the Holy Father, we visited the historic places of the church in Rome, Assisi (the place of St Francis) and Loppiano (the centre of the focolare movement of Chiara Lubich).
